Getting access.

There is no waiting list. ResearchAnything is open for anyone to sign up, Sourcipedia needs no account, and Essarion Science is a private deployment for now. This page explains how to get into each one.

02ResearchAnything

Anyone can create an account.

  1. Go to researchanything.ai/signup.
  2. Enter your email address and a password of at least eight characters. Your name is optional.
  3. Check your email for a six-digit code from hello@essarion.com. It is valid for ten minutes.
  4. Enter the code. Your account is created at that moment, and you are signed in on the Free plan.

You can also use Sign in with Essarion if you have an Essarion ID. If you forget your password, the sign-in page lets you reset it with a code sent to your email.

Plans

Every account starts on Free. Allowances are monthly and reset on the first of each month.

PlanPriceWhat it includes each month
Free$03 research runs on RA-Lite, 30 workspace chat messages, and up to 50 saved sources.
Pro$12 a month40 research runs on any model, of which up to 10 can use Max. 200 workspace chat messages, and up to 500 saved sources.
Researcher$29 a month100 research runs on any model, all of which can use Max. 750 workspace chat messages, and up to 5,000 saved sources.

The saved-source figure is a cap on your library, not a monthly count. When you reach a limit, new runs or messages wait until the allowance resets or you change plan. There are no overage charges. The pricing page always has the current figures.

Changing plan

There is no self-serve checkout yet. To upgrade, create a free account, then email hello@researchanything.ai from the address you signed up with and say which plan you want. The new allowance applies as soon as your account is moved. You can switch plans, or go back to Free, the same way. Paid fees are billed in advance and are not refundable except where the law requires. See section 8 of the Terms.

03Developer API

The developer API uses your ResearchAnything account. There is nothing separate to apply for.

  1. Sign in to ResearchAnything and open the API Console at researchanything.ai/console.
  2. Create a key and copy it. It starts with ra- and is shown only once.
  3. Send your question with the key in the Authorization header.
curl
curl https://researchanything.ai/api/query \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $RA_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"query": "Is intermittent fasting supported by evidence?"}'

Each API run uses one of your plan's monthly research runs, so a Free account's three runs apply to the API as well. The console also shows your usage and has a playground for trying requests. See API quickstart.

04Sourcipedia

Open sourcipedia.com. Searching and reading are free, with no account and no paywall. Sourcipedia has a sign-in page, but it is only for its administrators. It does not offer a developer API.

05Essarion Science

Essarion Science is a private deployment for now. It has no sign-up page, no invite codes and no way to request an account from inside the product. Accounts are set up by Essarion, and only addresses on the allowlist can sign in.

For questions about Essarion Science, write to hello@essarion.com.

06Sign in with Essarion

Essarion ID is an optional login you can use on products that show the Sign in with Essarion button. Creating one needs a verified email, the same as a ResearchAnything account. If you already have an account in a product with the same email, you link the two by entering that account's password once. After that, both ways in keep working. See Core concepts.
